EcoHealth, or as it is sometimes called conservation medicine, is a transdisciplinary field that addresses the links between human, livestock and other domestic animals, wildlife, and the environment, particularly in relation to ecological disturbance. Health, both for biological organisms and the environment is complex and poorly understood. This field unites the disciplines of medicine, veterinary medicine, epidemiology, ecology, microbiology, marine science, toxicology, climate studies and geography, not to mention the anthropologists, economists, sociologists, and political scientists that contribute to the field.
